Scrum Master is one of the key roles in Scrum.The Scrum Master is pivotal in supporting and enabling the team to use Scrum to develop products and to deliver projects.The Scrum Master is the ‘master of Scrum’ (not the master of the team).They are the expert in Scrum and they teach, coach and mentor the team to adopt Scrum practices.

1 day experiential learning workshop for individuals taking on the role of Scrum Master (6-12 delegates)

  • By the end of this workshop you will:
  • ·Have illustrated the Scrum framework to others.
  • ·Have participated in a Scrum event.
  • ·Be able to list the key qualities and responsibilities of a Scrum Master.
  • ·Have explored Servant-Leadership and what this means for a Scrum Master.
  • ·Have discussed motivational theories, the importance of trust and psychological safety in teams.
  • ·Have practiced using different questioning styles and experienced the impact they have on motivation.
  • ·Have practiced listening skills and discussed its relevance to a Scrum Master.
  • ·Have written down actions to put into practice in the workplace.
  • ·Have discussed ideas for further learning.


Description

You will leave this training having explored the Scrum framework to help you master the knowledge you need to support your team.You will be introduced to Servant-Leadership and motivational theories and their importance in creating a self-organising teams. You will also have practiced skills to help you support your team on their journey, and you on your journey to becoming a great Scrum Master.

About the Course

There will also be an opportunity for some delegates to practice facilitation their skills, if desired.
