Introduction

Our on-line self paced Managing Professional Transition Module - (MPT - 90 days access) will be available from the end of October 2019.

This course is aimed at those wanting to update their ITIL Expert Qualification to an ITIL 4 qualifications.

This new ITIL 4 MPT online course will introduce you to the key changes that have been introduced or amended in ITIL4.

Candidates that hold credits from ITIL Practitioner and Intermediate/MALC modules is that they can benefit from a transition module for ITIL Managing Professional.

The transition module consists of a certified training course and exam enabling ITIL v3 (2011 edition) certified professionals to transition to ITIL 4.

To be eligible to take the module candidates should hold:

  • ITIL Expert (v3) certificate or
  • A minimum of 17 credits from the Foundation & Intermediate/Practitioner/Manager modules from previous versions or
  • ITIL4 Foundation and 15 credits from the ITIL V3 credit scheme

In other words if you have passed the MALC exam or ready to take MALC then you are eligible to take the Transition module.

The course will only be available until AXELOS withdraw this bridging qualification but should be available at least until the end of 2020.

Course Outline

You will have 90 days access to the course which is on-line. Extensions can be purchase if you do not complete the training over the 90 day period.

  • Know how to create, deliver and support services

From the ITIL 4 Specialist High Velocity IT Module:

  • Understand concepts regarding the high-velocity nature of the digital enterprise, including the demand it places on IT
  • Understand the digital product lifecycle in terms of the ITIL ‘operating model’
  • Understand the importance of the ITIL Guiding Principles and other fundamental concepts for delivering high velocity IT

From the ITIL 4 Specialist Drive Stakeholder Value Module:

  • Understand how customer journeys are designed
  • Know how to foster stakeholder relationships
  • Know how to shape demand and define service offerings
  • Know how to onboard and offboard customers and users
  • Know how to act together to ensure continual value co-creation (service consumption / provisioning)
  • Know how to realise and validate service value

From the ITIL 4 Strategist Direct Plan and Improve Module:

  • Understand the scope and activities relevant to Direct and plan
  • Understand the role of GRC and how to integrate the principles and methods into the service value system
  • Understand and know how to use the key principles and methods of Organizational Change Management to direction, planning and improvement

To take your web based exam, you will need a computer with a webcam, a microphone and a reliable internet connection.

You will also need administrator rights to install the software that will be used to monitor the exam session.

You will also need photo identification (passport, government ID or equivalent). If your exam includes a document to be printed (for example ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle case study), the printer will need to be in the room where you take the exam.

Please note, in addition to your webcam, some examination institutes will require you to have a small mirror or reflective surface. The proctor will ask you to hold this up to show that there is nothing attached to the webcam or laptop itself.

Once the Managing Professional designation has been achieved though the MPT course delegates may decide to increase their knowledge of the individual Managing Professional courses or work towards the ITIL Master designation through attaining the strategic Leader course.
