Project management is the way of managing change. Anything and everything from the Olympics to organising a birthday party can be considered a project. Project management describes what activities need to be performed to meet specific objectives and can be used to introduce or improve new or existing products and services.
Programme management is the process of managing several related projects, often with the intention of improving an organization's performance, so perhaps the adage or organising the Olympics is more applicable here, due to the need to manage many different sports at different locations.
Purple Griffon offer many courses on these topics, from the de facto standards of Project Management in Projects IN Controlled Environments (PRINCE2®), that embodies established and proven best practice in project management, through to the possibly less familiar (to some!) of Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®). In between these, there are also training courses for Management of Successful Programmes (MSP®), Association for Project Management (APM®), Management of Portfolios (MoP®) and Change Management (CM)
PRINCE2® training is one of the more popular offerings for both beginners in a development role and the more experienced project manager, with both looking to gain a formal qualification in this key area. PRINCE2® Foundation and PRINCE2® Practitioner courses are sought by many, plus we have the option of a combined PRINCE2® Foundation & Practitioner course that runs over five days. For those already holding the Practitioner certification, remember that there is also a two day PRINCE2® Re-Registration course that is needed to keep your certification up to date.
We offer the majority of our courses via different delivery channels, to suite the individuals learning style or pocket. There is a choice of the traditional classroom based, on-line and virtual courses and they are also available through either a public or private schedule. Have a browse around our site, or call our Sales Account Managers on the number above to discuss your training requirements.
