Our 3-day BCS Intermediate training course extends the broad understanding of testing acquired on our 3-day ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Foundation training course and covers those topics which are considered to be essential knowledge for a test professional - it is suitable for those who are engaged in any aspect of Software Testing (i.e. Test Analysis or Test Management).
A pass in this certificate provides evidence that you have proven analytical capability, gained the knowledge and practical skills in the key topics required for practising Software Testing.
The objectives of our BCS Intermediate training course are to:
Provide a sound basis for you to register for ISTQB Advanced Level Examinations.
Ensure that you have a broad understanding ISTQB Advanced Level Examinations as well as other specialist areas.
Cover specific topic that Test Managers, Test Analysts and Technical Test Analysts should understand.
The syllabus will be applicable to a wide range of testing challenges that a Test Practitioner might face. You will be taught a general approach and it will provide a basis for the testing of software systems.
Our BCS Intermediate classroom-based course is suitable for those who are engaged in any aspect of Software Testing and is the next level of competency in Software Testing after our ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Foundation course.
About the Course
Our BCS Intermediate training course includes lectures, exercises and practical work. On the final day of the training programme, you will prepare and take the examination. It is fully-accredited by ISEB Professional Certifications who have rated it as SFIAplus Level 4.

Please Note: You must have completed and passed the ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Foundation training course.
There is no prereading needs to be undertaken for this course however a little evening reading throughout the course would be beneficial.
BCS Intermediate Examination:
The examination consists of a one hour exam with 25 scenario-based multiple-choice questions.
It will be a 'closed book' examination i.e. no notes or books will be allowed into the examination room.
Duration of 60 minutes (or 75 minutes for those taking examinations that are not in their native language)
No study material or electronic devices (including mobile phones) mat be used during the examination.
You are allowed to use simple non-programmable calculators (to be provided by you).
An official translation of terms (not their definitions) from the ISTQB® Glossary to the local language is allowed.
The pass mark is 60% (15 out of 25)
