Introduction

The four-day Certified EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Practitioner Virtual Learning training course builds on the Certified EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Foundation Virtual Learning qualification will equip participants with the knowledge and operational skills to build, implement and manage a compliance programme under the EU GDPR and successfully fulfil the role of the Data Protection Officer (DPO).

More extensive in scope and application than the current Data Protection Act (DPA), the EU GDPR extends the data rights of individuals, and requires organisations to develop clear policies and procedures to protect personal data, and adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures. UK organisations have until 25 May 2018 to comply with the new law, or potentially face fines of up to 4% of annual turnover or €20 million - whichever is greater.
