The Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®) guidance provides advice, supported by discussion and examples, on how to develop a governance structure that helps optimise an organisation's investment in change alongside its business as usual work.
Our five-day P3O® Foundation & Practitioner training course will help you to establish, develop and maintain a support structure for the delivery of change across your organisation, whether through a single office, or a linked office set.

Our P3O® Foundation & Practitioner training course is aimed at members of offices within a P3O® model or anyone who needs to understand the terminology and concepts underpinning a P3O®.
Our P3O® Foundation & Practitioner training course includes the following:
A basic understanding of MSP® (Managing Successful Programmes) or the MSP® Foundation certificate would be a benefit for our P3O® Foundation & Practitioner training course.
You need to have worked in a project/programme environment and understand the basic principles relating to Programme and Project Management.

You will be provided with pre-course reading prior to attending our P3O® Foundation & Practitioner training course. This pre-reading is in the form of a PDF and is expected to take approximately two to three hours to complete. This is only a guide and you may wish to spend longer on this activity to help you prepare effectively. Your learning starts with this pre-reading, so please ensure you can complete the pre-course activities in full prior to attending.
PeopleCert exams take place remotely via PeopleCert Online Proctoring, and the afternoon of the last day of your course will continue with your learning until approximately 4.00pm. When booking your exam please ensure that it is for a time after the course has concluded and at a time convenient for you. You will be required to download and install ExamShield and conduct a compatibility test prior to sitting the exam.
P3O® Foundation Examination:
The P3O® Foundation exam is a multiple choice exam consisting of 75 questions that must be answered in 1 hour. To be successful in this exam, you must correctly answer 35 or more questions.
P3O® Practitioner Examination:
The P3O® Practitioner exam is a multiple choice exam consisting of 80 marks (4 questions with 20 marks per question) that must be answered in 2 ½ hours. To be successful in this exam, you must get 40 or more marks. The exam allows the use of the 2013 version of the P3O® manual. You will be informed of their result by the examining body, normally within four weeks of exam completion.
